My main city-beach choice from personal experience: a pebble beach in Pećine. Allow about 20–30 minutes on foot each way (about 1.9 km). For bus 1, board at Fiumara B on the Mrtvi kanal side, towards Sablićevo and Tower Center; journey time depends on the timetable. The beach has showers and changing cabins but no natural shade, so bring sun protection and enough water.
